Principal's Report

Dear parents and carers,

As we move toward the end of our last week of school for this term, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have supported our children through your various different types of volunteer work during this year. Many have taken the time to carry out different tasks that when combined have had the effect of assisting the education of our children. So thank you, to all of you.

I would also like to thank members of the wider Grenfell community for your support during this term, there are many things that go on in the background that help to support the success of our school, so thank you to all those who have supported us in the myriad of different ways across this year.

Thank you to the staff who have also worked hard to encourage the development and growth of our children during the first half of this year.

All of your efforts are greatly appreciated!

As you are aware, Mrs Best will be taking some very well earned long service leave during terms three and four. We are very pleased to be able to announce that Mrs Tina Eastlake will be working with us during terms three and four as Mrs Best’s replacement. Mrs Eastlake comes to us with a wealth of experience having worked for many years in Canberra.

We wish Mrs Best a fabulous time as she spends more time with her family, and we welcome Mrs Eastlake, and trust that she enjoys working with our St Joseph’s school community.

Play Performance – On Tuesday, we performed our play “The Day the Crayons Quit” at the Grenfell MPS for the residents. The residents sang along with us and paid us many compliments. Congratulations to all who remembered their lines, and performed with gusto!

Congratulations to those who stepped in to roles too, you did a marvellous job!

Congratulations to Banjo, Hugh and the relay team who placed 1st 2nd and 2nd respectively in their events at last week’s WR athletics carnival. The boys will now participate in the Archdiocesan athletics carnival in August in Canberra.

Well done and congratulations also goes to Henry, Emma and Camilla who all did well in their events at last week’s Tamworth inter schools horse sports event.

Congratulations also goes to William who performed really well in the football event held in Forbes on Monday – his team won two games on the day.

Sincerely,
