REC Reflections
We are living in times that no one could ever have anticipated and the changes have come thick and fast. Everyone is grappling with new ways of working and going about their daily business. This week I have chosen a prayer for the parents who are at home struggling with becoming ‘instant teachers’ without any training. Please know that you are doing a good job, we do appreciate that it is difficult, and we are here to help you.
Holy Spirit, as families adjust to everyone being home as businesses and schools operate remotely, we ask that You guide people in their new realities. Give spouses grace for each other. Prompt worn-out parents to speak words of kindness and encouragement to their children. Help children find creative ways to experience the beauty of all You have created and continue learning.
Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.—Psalm 57:1
