Prayer of Support to Those Overwhelmed by Loss

Loving God,

We want to lift up some people in our community that are going through much grief and sorrow at the moment, and are finding it so confusing and hard to come to terms with all that has taken place in the last few days. 

We humbly ask that You would come to them and give them the comfort they need to come to terms with all that has happened. Give them the strength to deal with their losses.

Lord, we know that their grief seems to be overwhelming them and so many are hurting for them, and with them. Sometimes it is hard to know what to do to help – and so we are coming to You to in prayer, to ask that You will meet each of them at their point of need and help them at this sad time. May they also find comfort from their friends and family members.

We pray that as each day passes, Your healing touch will encourage and nurture them in this time of agony and despair.

Thank You, Lord, for being there for us, and into Your hands, we place each one of these people who have such sorrow in their hearts. May you comfort each and every one of them.
