This week we had our opening prayer celebration, and we welcomed the Kinders, other new students and new staff members to the St Joseph’s School community. We also recognized the student leaders for 2022. The message of the gospel was, ‘Love one another’ and the students were very reflective when they responded with their ideas about how we can love one another at home, at school and in the wider community. This week my prayer is for Danielle and Dugald as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. ‘Love one another’ will have a very special meaning for them on Saturday as they join together as husband and wife. May they have treasured memories from their wedding day and a long and happy life together.

Lord God Almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth.

Thank you for the gift of marriage

For all the joy and love that it brings.

We thank you for Danielle and Dugald

Thank you that you have brought them together for their special day,

And that you hold them safely in Your hands.

We pray that you will richly bless them as they exchange their vows and their wedding rings,

And from this day forward may they walk hand in hand into everything that you have destined them to be.
