Principal's Report

 Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you to the parents who were able to attend parent-teacher interviews this week. I hope that you have found the interim report and interviews a valuable process in communicating how your child has commenced the new school year. If you were unable to attend, please contact your child’s teacher directly to make an alternate time. Please remember that it does not need to be “interview week” to meet with the teachers. Please feel free to contact them directly anytime you wish to discuss your child’s schooling.

There’s not long to go now until the Easter holidays! The last day of Term 1 is Friday 8th April. Term 2 commences on Wednesday 27th April - Monday is a public holiday for ANZAC Day and Tuesday 26th is our Staff Development Day (Pupil Free Day).

Next week is very busy with our Cross Country on Thursday at the Golf Course. Students have been training hard and I’m sure they will enjoy the day. Parents are welcome to join us, we plan to start at 9:45am.

Friday we will observe the Stations of the Cross in preparation for Holy Week. We also look forward to sharing in the SRC Sweet Treat Stall and Family Picnic at 1:20pm! You are invited to stay after the picnic for our Assembly at 2pm, where will hand out our weekly awards and draw the P&F Easter Raffle.

Promotional Photos

On Monday we had Alexandra from ‘The Social Herd’ here to take photos of our students and school to be used with updated promotional materials. Alex did a wonderful job and we look forward to seeing the finished products and will share with you when we can.

Breakfast Club

Thank you to those people that have responded to my call out for volunteers.

Now that restrictions have eased and we are allowed to have visitors on-site again, we are hoping to get some volunteers in to be able to run a 'Breakfast Club' twice a week. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and some students skip it due to various reasons or have to have breakfast very early and need a top up. After 'Breakfast Club' it would be great if our volunteers could stay to read with a few students.

If you can offer your time from 8:45am to around 10:15am in the morning please let us know! You need to provide proof of vaccination and also have your Volunteer Working With Children Check (WWCC) to help.

If you need to apply for a WWCC please use the link below.

Either call the Office or email me at melissa.hotham@cg.catholic.edu.au - letting me know your availability - (the days you are free and if you can do the whole time between 8:45am and 10:15am or a shorter time). We have had a great response and can offer you a place on the roster every few weeks. We will be starting next term! If you know of a family member that may be able to volunteer their time, please let them know.

Have a lovely weekend.

Kind thoughts,

Melissa Hotham
