FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear parents and carers,
As we reflect om term 1, we are grateful for the positive start the children have made for the new school year and the positive directions St Joseph’s is taking. It’s been a busy term (they all are!) with lots of great learning, community connections and fun events. Thank you, parents and carers, for all your terrific support, encouragement and involvement at school; it makes all the difference to the children and the staff.
MPS Visit
The Yr 2/3/4 children enjoyed their visit to MPS and the residents thoroughly enjoyed the poetry recitation prepared by Mrs King. Well done children for entertaining the residents! We always enjoy our visits to MPS and look forward to continuing this program in term 2.

Brumbies Rugby Gala Day
Thank you, Mrs Washbrook, for coordinating St Jospeh’s participation in this event. Our players enjoyed coming together with the children from St Mary’s West Wyalong for a day of fun and competition.
Thank you, parents, for your support and well done to the players!
Preschool Collaboration
It has been a pleasure to have the Star class from the Preschool with us at St Joseph’s throughout Term 1 and the classes have enjoyed time to collaborate through activities such as sports and games, buddy reading and art and craft. On Tuesday, the preschoolers visited the K/1 class and worked together to create Poppies to recognise ANZAC Day. All the children worked very cooperatively, and we were most impressed by the preschoolers scissor skills!

Henry Lawson High School Visit
We were delighted to welcome the Student Leadership Team and teachers Courtney Lieblich and Sarah Osmand from Henry Lawson High School last week. The students and teachers addressed Year 5 and 6 giving them an overview of life at the high school and answering questions from the children.
The Cross Country helpers from HLHS joined us for assembly on Friday. They did a great job on the day and came back for the ribbon presentation ceremony. We were pleased to have the opportunity to thank the HLHS students most sincerely for their contributions to making the day such a success!
