News From the Sporting Coordinator
Rugby Gala Day
On Tuesday, St Joseph's participated in the Rugby Union Gala Day, held in Grenfell. Our students joined with St. Mary's War Memorial School in West Wyalong and had a great day of competition. We had 8 students participate which meant we were able to enter a combined 3/4 team and 5/6 team. During the day players competed in game and complete rounds of skills. Students should be very proud of their efforts as there were many tries set up and scored. Both teams were selected for the next round of games which will be held in Wagga next term. We are sad to advise, if your student participated on Tuesday in Grenfell, we will not be participating in the next round as it occurs on the same day as the Western Region Cross Country, which we will be attending.
A special thanks to the Brumbies for organising the day, to the Grenfell Panthers for hosting and running the canteen, to parents and students for taking the time to participate and finally to West Wyalong for asking us to join and supplying the jerseys. Awesome Effort everyone.

Cross Country Reminder
Please be aware that many of our students have been selected to compete in Batlow for the Western Region Cross Country on May 2nd - Tuesday Week 1 Term 2. There have only been a few confirmed attendances and we need to know before the end of term, this Friday.
If you know your child will/will not be attending, please log into Compass and let us know either way. A reminder was emailed out this week.
See you there with your running shoes on.
