The Weddin Shire Council Low Earth Orbiting (LEO) Satellite Internet Subsidy Program supports residents access to internet coverage via the LEO satellite internet network. Residents may be more familiar with LEO Satellite Internet under its commercial name of Starlink.
Eligible residents with an existing LEO satellite internet connection can make a retrospective claim for subsidy and residents purchasing a new LEO satellite internet connection are also eligible. The subsidy of up to $1500 covers costs associated with the satellite dish, hardware such as router, adapter, mounts and cables and associated installation costs. The program will end on 30 June 2024.
