From The Principal
Dear parents and carers,
The Henry Lawson Festival is off to a great start with the children competing in the Poetry Recital at the time of writing. Thank you for helping to prepare the children for this event. It is a great opportunity for them to be immersed in Australian culture and at the same time, build their confidence and skills in public speaking.

Please watch this space next week for more photos and news from the Poetry Recital.
Henry Lawson Festival Art Exhibition
We are so proud of the wonderful art works the St Joseph’s students have contributed to the Henry Lawson Festival Art Exhibition. The children took a walk down the main street on Wednesday and had the chance to admire their own and other children’s from the town work on display. A very impressive collection and lots of inspiration for future creative creations

Sr Mary Thank you and Farewell Morning Tea
Wednesday morning provided a great opportunity for the school to come together and show our appreciation for Sr Mary and all she has done to support our school. Thank you to the students and teachers for making the Liturgy so prayerful and meaningful and thank you to members of the community for joining us and for your contributions to the delicious morning tea.

In Conclusion…
After a very rainy Friday last week, we all had our fingers and toes crossed that the Athletics Carnival would proceed as planned tomorrow. Unfortunately this was not to be and so this event has been postponed again to Wednesday 12th June. All the arrangements remain unchanged.
We are delighted that so many of the students will be joining us for the Henry Lawson Festival Parade on this coming Saturday 8th June. We will meet at Short Street ready with outfit/props at 12.30 for a 1.00pm start. The students should be collected at the conclusion of the parade from the bottom of the main street. Thank you!
With best wishes,
