Take care and stay safe,
Thank you to all who made a special effort to attend our Opening Mass yesterday. It is always such a pleasure to watch the new Kindergarten students place their stars on the school star banner and the new school leaders look so proud as their equally proud parents pin their badges on.
This year, we added a choir into the mix. A big thank-you to Mr Martens, and the choir members for preparing for the mass and leading the other students in the singing.
Last, but not least, I thank Father Allen for making himself available to come and celebrate this mass with us. As it was also Ash Wednesday, there was a lot to think about, but Father Allen took it all in his stride. Several of the younger children remarked that they liked the method of the distribution of ashes this year as it made the cross more distinct and helped them to think about the meaning of the day.
