Dear parents and carers,
We hope that all mums enjoyed their day last Sunday for Mother’s Day.
Thanks to all our staff for ensuring that there was a small gift for mum in the mailbox – we all had a small part to play in getting these small gifts out to all our mums.
We are looking forward to a return to face-to-face learning next week.
Please remember:
- Wear winter uniform
- Bring a water bottle
- Return all work packs
- Return equipment that has been borrowed from school.
We will continue to follow guidelines as advised by both the Australian Government, NSW government and NSW Health and Catholic Education previously sent out to families.
Please be aware that children who have runny noses, coughs, cold or flu like symptoms will be sent home from school and we ask that they stay at home until the symptoms have cleared.
Thank you for your patience with the transition to the new learning platform.
Please remember to make use of the 1300 number available to parents if ICT support is required at home 1300 232 448.
We encourage you to ensure that all your child’s clothing is clearly labelled, this helps us to return items that have been misplaced.
The uniform order has been submitted, once this arrives at school, we will send it out to you as soon as possible.
As we continue the process of returning to more regular routines and events, we know that there may be a need to adjust how we go about our day, and we will work through these challenges as they arise.
The rain that we have received in recent weeks has helped our oval to continue to improve and at present it is looking fantastic. We are looking forward to being able to use this space with the children. Next week.
Kinder 2021 – many families are already beginning to plan for 2021. If your family has a younger sibling at home who will start school in 2021, please collect an enrolment form from the office to complete and return in preparation for next year.
Library – beginning next week, all Library session will be held on Thursdays. All children will need to bring their Library books and bags on Thursday. I encourage you to make use of Library bags as this helps to protect books and keep them in one place. This is helpful when looking to return books that you have finished with. It is expected that ALL children use a Library bag.
At present many of our popular titles are out on loan, please return those books that you have finished reading, so that we can make these available for other children.
National Simultaneous Storytime – this year we will again participate in the National Simultaneous Storytime, this year’s story is Whitney and Britney Chicken Divas.
We are looking forward to seeing the children next week.
Take care and stay safe,

Children are very aware that there is a new normal in their world. Handwashing, hand sanitising and desk cleaning have become new rituals in their lives here at school. They know that these small rituals, and the larger new norm of isolating at home, mean that they are doing their part to protect each other, their loved ones, and people in the wider community from contracting the Corona virus.
Prayer to start and end each school day has also become a very important ritual for the children here at school. It allows them, in a very real way, to express their concerns and worries in a hope-filled way. It also allows them the opportunity to thank God for the gifts they have in their lives. Their prayers are sincere and heartfelt. I hope that it has become a ritual in your house too, and that it won’t disappear just because we are getting back to some semblance of normality next week. Sometimes, something unexpected can offer us a chance to make changes for the better.
May peace and hope fill your hearts. We are all looking forward to seeing all of those smiling faces at school next week!
Many Blessings,
